The Milky Way

Architecture, Art, Events

Vivid is in full swing and once again there is no shortage of light fantastic to trip.

For the last few months graduate architect Jason Lu and his team have devised, assembled and installed The Milky Way.

Built with 300 custom made milk crates and over 350 metres of LED lighting, the unique tunnel structure has taken over Kendall Lane in The Rocks for the duration of the festival. Passers-by are invited to not only experience the physical structure but also the light show that acommpanies it, which is triggered by motion sensors.

If you find yourself down in The Rocks after dark make sure you swing by and explore this impressive structure.
