Sydney Story Factory

Art, Design, Education, Publications, Other

Inspired by Dave Eggers 'Once Upon a School' TED Wish and the resulting 826 Valencia (if you don't know about this, watch the TED video; it's incredibly moving), Sydney Story Factory aims to make literacy imaginative and fun for young people and to impress upon children the importance of self-expression.

The Sydney Story Factory encourages and helps children to put out publications of their own (newspapers, books, etc) and they're currently looking for Sydney's most magical and talented graphic designers to develop an ongoing relationship with the Factory, whereby they will illustrate the children's publications and help the children see the amazing self-expression that goes into graphic design as well.

It's only a few hours a month that you'd need to pledge, and for an amazingly good cause too. Drop (the legend that is) Scott Drummond a line if you're interested in joining the team or finding out more: scott@scottdrummond.org
