@jomapi – one of the biggest things I've noticed people the first time they use a can is they don't realise how close you can use the can to the wall. also get some decent quality paint. its been a while since I've done any myself but I quite like mtn 94's but like any of the better brands like mtn, montana (over priced imo), beltons, ironlak (they used to smell really bad – I heard they don't anymore though) are good choices
Many years ago, when I had hair, my parents allowed me to paint on the side of the house. We had a massive white brick wall that ran along the driveway. I'd paint a piece, take a few photos, paint over it and start again.
Took quite a while not to suck.
Stupidly when I started at design school I stopped painting. Wanted to be taken seriously and at that time graff wasn't widely accepted like it is now and 'street art' hadn't really gained popularity.
Here's a horrible phone photo, but I finished my 4th acrylic painting last week. The other three were too embarrassing to ever go anywhere. I'm about to start my second tonight – it's part of a triptych of the fat germans I saw in Thailand last year.
