In the old days if I remember correctly, off topic was the most popular category? was half the conversation of all other threads in the forum, anyway I could see that when you rock up to the forum that it will be a wash of off topic content, a suggestion if it does come to that would be to take it out of the main feed of the forum area, just keep it to the side tabs?
What was he reason for bringing it back anyway?

It was the most popular but as a result of that the other section suffered.
We will review the position based on the popularity. There is a different crowd in here now days so who knows how it all turns out.
We want to see the forum grow so the best way is to make sure the popular sections are catered for. We are trying to craft Infront into a tool that everyone wants to use and feel like they have input. A social network (of sorts) for creatives but rather than a great divide between the creators and the users we want to work with you all to make sure we deliver the best experience.
That is why we have been proactive in changing things and adding functions since the relaunch. We plan to continue to do this to ensure growth of the site and provide you with tools to benefit your own creative careers.

Infront has decided to bring **Off Topic** back for all of your non-design talk.
Post whatever you want (within reason).
