Something New
Publication Design
NEW is the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art’s (ACCA) annual exhibition series. Nexus Designs approached ACCA with the proposition of designers collaborating with artists that resulted in NEW010, a Nexus Designs and ACCA collaboration.
‘Something New’ documents the design process involved in creating the exhibition space, the collaboration between artists and designers and the resulting exhibition. The unique format of ‘Something New’ reflects the unusual exhibition space. The publication is cleverly separated into two volumes, the outer explains the design and construction of the exhibition space – printed in the language of architectural plans on a light weight uncoated sheet in mono.
The inner volume celebrates the artwork with a photographic journey through the interior space thus printed in full colour on a coated sheet.
