Mangoola identity
Opening Identity and print material
Mangoola is a coal mine situated in New South Wales, Australia. "Mangoola" the word is thought to mean "the place of black cockatoo" to Australian Indigenous people. The Cockatoo is a native bird to Australia.
To celebrate the opening of the new mine, Xstrata Coal sought out End of Work to create launch and identity materials.
Using the name's meaning as inspiration studio End of Work created beautiful crafted print collateral to represent the feathers of a bird and the strata layers of the earth. This was achieved through a large foil blocked pattern stamped onto black paper, embossing and laser cutting paper.
