Double Vision

Double Vision is a collection of essays discussing Chinese contemporary art, history and society. Primarily, the writings have been composed by prolific artist Pu Jie, whose critical interest in dualism and change epitomise the historical and social impermanence in current Shanghai. The structure of the book explores a lack of centrality. Its hierarchy and order is in permanent conflict, between structure and sprawl, text and image, colour and space.
