The Monash Art and Design Grad show is an annual event featuring work from its final year students. The campaign involved both a printed catalogue and website of the students work, alongside relevant signage and way-finding. Drawing inspiration from visual optical illusions, the letters ‘A’ and ‘D’ were designed as complementary Yin and Yang shapes, reflecting the two faculties as both interdependent and interconnected. Split in half, the book features the design section on one side of the book and the art section facing on the other side. With plump curves and an unabashed colour combination, the brand-mark became a distinct feature of the campaign and did much to express the celebratory spirit of the alumni.
