I'm a lot more than 'just' a graphic designer...

@ clintonduncan and spot on. any job can be as great as you want it to be or as bad.
@tonytran you hit the nail on the head. BALANCE. Quick turn around paying jobs and more complex creative jobs make the world go around. Less mentally exhausting too!
i love my job these days. i design, problem solve, develop, take photographs, travel and climb mountains. The bonus is that i get paid to do it. A far cry from the early days where i tried to re-invent the wheel with Helvetica.
I do the accounts, art direction, web development, graphic design, print, photography, marketing, client management, the works. But i don't need a title- my portfolio tells folk who i am and what i do. I suppose that's what's missing in this thread- actions speak louder than TITLES so who gives a shit? You can either do the job or not. You can walk or talk. A title won't change this.
So yeah. Not all graphic designers are insecure and hate their job. Make of it what you will.

@JubbJubb haha
@tonytran should be ready to submit to Apple in about a week. From there it could take anything from a few days to a few weeks for them to process the update. If you follow the twitter stream or facebook I'll post it up there straight away.

Responsive vs. Mobile version
Posted 29.08.2012 @ 4.53PM
Not sure how many of you guys have been adopting technologies like responsive layouts, but curious to see what you guys thought about the growing trend.
I've recently worked on a few different sites that i found could utilise responsive layouts, but to me tailored mobile versions just have a much higher usability feel to them, not to mention crunching down on resources.
Thoughts?
